Terms of service
These terms cover video services purchased through Explain8. Your order summary and any written custom scope identify the services you are buying.
This page describes how standard Explain8 packages are intended to work. The seller details, the refund schedule, and other final legal terms are still being completed, so online checkout stays switched off and no payment is taken. We will publish the final, dated version here before we accept any order.

Still being finalized
These terms describe how standard packages are intended to work. Some provisions are not final yet, and we will publish them, dated, before ordering opens:
- Seller identity and registration details (section 1).
- The moment an order is accepted (section 2).
- The complaint process (section 14).
- Responsibility and liability (section 15).
- Governing law and disputes (section 16).
- The stage-by-stage refund schedule.
- Retention periods for files and records.
- The territory and duration of the video license.
1. Who provides the service
Seller identity and registration details will be published here before ordering opens. You can reach us now through the contact page.
These terms cover video services purchased through Explain8. Your order summary and any written custom scope identify the services you are buying.
2. Your order and agreement
Before payment, review the package, selected additions, total price, delivery conditions, and applicable policies. Your order confirmation provides a record of those details.
The point at which an order is accepted and a contract is formed is being finalized and will be published here before ordering opens.
If we cannot accept a requested scope, we will explain the issue and the options available, including any refund due for work we cannot supply.
3. What is included
Standard packages cover one brand, one offer, one audience, one primary objective, one approved script, and one visual direction, delivered in horizontal and vertical layouts.
The selected package sets the runtime limit. The package does not automatically include a second video, shorter cutdowns, additional concepts, custom filming, specialist review, or editable source files.
The written scope identifies additional services and any agreed changes to the standard package. A specific, expressly agreed project variation takes precedence over conflicting general package wording for that project, subject to mandatory rights.
4. Your information and materials
You provide accurate business information, permitted assets, and timely feedback. You are responsible for checking the factual and legal suitability of your product claims, offers, testimonials, and instructions.
You authorize us to use supplied materials as needed to provide the agreed service and confirm that you have the necessary permissions. Tell us before supplying confidential, restricted, or sensitive material that needs special handling.
5. Approvals and production
You approve the script, voice, and visual direction before production. Approval is recorded against a specific version. We do not treat silence as creative approval.
The standard first-draft production window begins after all required approvals and assets are complete. Delivery details are set out in our Delivery and Revisions Policy.
Changes to approved material may affect the scope, cost, and schedule. We confirm those changes before performing additional paid work.
6. Price and payment
Website package prices are in USD. Applicable taxes and the final payable amount are shown before payment. Standard packages and add-ons are one-time purchases.
Work starts according to the payment and approval conditions shown in the order. Optional additions are charged only after you select or approve them. Custom projects may have a different payment schedule stated in their written scope.
Online checkout is not open yet, so no payment is taken through this website today.
7. Revisions and corrections
Standard packages include one consolidated script feedback pass and one consolidated video revision within the approved concept. Extra creative revisions and scope changes may be charged separately.
We correct production errors we introduce separately from the creative revision allowance. See the Delivery and Revisions Policy for feedback timing and examples.
8. AI-assisted production and localization
The service uses AI-assisted production, including AI-generated voiceover. You review a voice sample before production. The available methods and visual approach are confirmed for your project.
Standard localization uses the approved master concept and includes automated language checks and production review. You or your nominated reviewer approve translations. Independent native-language or specialist review is additional unless expressly included.
9. Use of final files
The permissions for final videos and supporting assets are set out in our Licensing Policy and any project-specific usage notes. Third-party and generated components may carry restrictions and may not be exclusive.
We do not use identifiable client work in our portfolio without permission. Any permitted portfolio use does not authorize unapproved claims about your results.
10. Performance expectations
We produce the agreed video and supporting deliverables. Sales, conversion rates, search rankings, ad approvals, and other commercial outcomes depend on factors beyond production and are not guaranteed.
Placement advice and performance reviews are guidance based on the agreed scope and information available. They do not include ongoing campaign management unless separately agreed.
11. Cancellation and refunds
Our Refunds and Cancellations Policy explains how to request cancellation and the treatment for each production stage. Mandatory rights take priority where applicable.
12. Project access and records
Keep access to your order email secure. You are responsible for approvals made by the person you nominate for the project. Contact us promptly if an account or approval appears unauthorized.
Final-file availability and working-material retention are described in the delivery and privacy policies. Download your final files within the stated access period.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account information, briefs, uploaded assets, communications, and related data. Project-specific confidentiality or data-processing arrangements must be agreed where required.
14. Problems and complaints
Contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. We will review the agreed scope and respond with a proposed next step.
The formal complaint process and response period are being finalized and will be published here before ordering opens.
15. Responsibility and liability
The allocation of responsibility and liability between you and us is being finalized and will be published here before ordering opens.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Governing law and disputes
The governing law, the forum for disputes, and the consumer protections that apply are being finalized and will be published here before ordering opens.
17. Changes to these terms
The terms provided with an accepted order govern that order unless a change is expressly agreed or legally required. Updated terms apply as stated when published, and each published version will be dated so you can identify it.
